Trump's Family Member Gets Professional Tips from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance
The rising star maintains substantial social media presence
The young golfer can count on multiple prominent backers when she starts her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to a former US president, was granted a special exemption to participate at the Annika competition in Florida.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, operates multiple golf courses and frequently competes against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she mentioned.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Just stay calm."
"He basically told me to compete and have fun," she added.
"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has played in a mere three competitions in 2024 and has the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
Yet she can get advice from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He is the top athlete in the world," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's an even better human being. He told me to compete, have fun, and go with whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against several top competitors in the sport at the Annika, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Officials commented that Kai's presence exposes the sport to new audiences, specifically with younger fans.
Kai boasts a massive following and just introduced a personal clothing and lifestyle label.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
